Your age?: It truly depends on your age. If you are over 45, the ADA recs are annual screening: HbA1c and fasting glucose. And yes, getting labs is a pain isn’t it? But your well-being is so important to you and your family. So it is worth it I promise!

Is it true that fasting of 8h is must for blood plasma glucose level testing. One doctor said that fasting more than 8h give heigher values. I did about 13h and got 82mg/dL from lab. Now I do not need Hba1c or any test right?
