I was able to fast only 4 hours for the hba1c, it shows i have diabetes, 6.2 percent, glucose 103, insulin 23.6, is the result affected by not fasting long? i ate a big meal 4 hours before test. i have severe reactive hypoglycemia dropping every hour?

HbA1c level does not change with fasting state or not because that number is an average glycated hemoglobin of 3 month period. Based on your results, you have glucose intolerance condition or prediabetes but not overt, type 2 diabetes mellitus. Take care.

HbA1C 5.4 (<5.5 normal). FBS 5.3 ( <6.0 normal) with last meal 14 hours before test. Family hx of diabetes. Is FBS too high? At risk range? Thnx.
