Small patch on foot like a dime in diameter feels like burning for a couple days. comes and goes during the day. no other symptoms. what could it be?

Ringworm or eczema: It could possibly be ring worm or eczema but since it is on your foot and the way you describe it, ring worm seems more likely. It might look like a ring of of raised red circle with a central clearing. Or it might be an eczema like rash that has come up.
