Tender pain above belly button. seems like ultrasound came back to normal and so did blood work. omeprazole seems to help. and the pain comes back without it. will a certain amount of time using omeprazole completely cure my issue ?

Maybe/not: The pain you experience may reflect behaviors or diet issues that make this return. This reflects stomach acid back washing into your swallow tube. Caffeine/nicotine & chocolate have properties that weaken the "door" to the stomach (aggravate). Laying down after a meal or snack will aggravate the process. Behavior & diet change may allow this to disappear.

Abdominal pain: One would hope so. The body has great ability to heal. Abdominal pain, however, is always a serious matter. Please follow up with your physician as he or she may have requested; otherwise, soon if your symptoms persist. A GI physician might want to take a direct look.
