I was seen in er, ruq pain in abdomen tender to touch, ultrasound no gallstones, blood work normal. what could be the cause of the pain? pn level 8.

It may still be: Related to gallbladder, however severe gastritis and pancreatitis are possibilities. To eliminate the gallbladder entirely a nuclear hida scan is necessary. Take 2 otc pepcid, or zantac (ranitidine) daily for a 7-10 day trial. Contact your doctor if no improvement.

It may somatic pain : Ruq, subcostal muscle pain could be another reason too. Hida scan may help to rule out gall bladder disease and i doubt.

Abdom. ultrasound clear but for 6mm stable gallstone. Blood fine. Healthy, fit, eat well. Just pale stool. Can I live like this until/if I have pain?
Bottom right and left rib sometimes feels sore/achy both at the front and back. Ultrasound for gallstones, liver, pancreas and kidneys clear.
Tender Pain above belly button. Seems like ultrasound came back to normal and so did blood work. Omeprazole seems to help. And the pain comes back without it. Will a certain amount of time using omeprazole completely cure my issue ?
