Playing the odds: You can always play the odds and see what happens.Like the folk in the early 1900's.They also had strep and it passes. However, about 1/200 developed 1of 3 patterns of complications. The brain thing, st vitas dance put some in mental hospitals. The kidney thing led to sudden kidney failure that some did not survive. The heart thing ate up valves and left many weak for the remainder of a short life.
