Is raising heart rate essential to a healthy life? i go on walks daily. i lift weights as well. but i don't do any high pace cardio. if yes, what is the minimum heart rate should be raised to, to be counted as high pace cardio? meditation essential?!

Exercise rate: A guideline for target heart rate during running or vigorous workout is 220 minus your age and then multiply by .85.( equals about160.) For a mild workout a target heart rate could be 100 for you. Remember that this is only a guideline, however.
