A member asked:

Does everyone age 55+ who walks fast for exercise and who are in good general health with no known heart problems need to know their max heart rate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No but: Your maximum predicted heart rate for your age is 160. 85% of that is 136 and that would be a good workout target for you.
