A member asked:

How accurate is the covid-19 test? are there false positives and false negatives?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Accurate: Virtually all tests have some false results. The results are reliable. All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Wish you good health!
