A member asked:

Good morning doctors. happy healthy holidays. how accurate is the covid rapid antigen test, either way whether you test negative or positive? when should you follow up with a pcr test?

A PCR test is the most accurate test. You have to wait a day or two longer but it is worth it. If the rapid test is positive than the PCR test would confirm it. If negative and you feel symptoms of COVID than you would still need the PCR test. The best choice is the PCR test if available.

Only follow up a negative if you have symptoms. The tests are accurate. Good Luck
