Tripped and bumped big toe and its now swollen and extremely painful, unable to bend it?

Need an xray.: Apply ice, keep foot end elevated, get xray done of the big toe to rule out fracture -big toe bones ,take ibuprofen or naproxen if you have no allergies for pain and consult bone specialist-orthopedician.
