Antibiotics: Antibiotics will not "clear" a tooth infection. They will minimize the symptoms until the tooth can be treated. Even if you had root canal tx, it may be another infection, it may be a cracked tooth, or a host of other issues. Please see your dentist.

Antibiotics: Antibiotics will control the spread of infection for as long as you take them, but will not "cure" a damaged tooth.
