What is an otherwise healthy 28 year olds risk of developing c diff infection from taking clindamycin for 7 days? im also taking probiotics, i have some stomach upset but google is scaring me!

Relatively low: While Clindamycin has been described as being involved in C Diff colitis, all antibiotics may induce a degree of diarrhea that is much more common than C diff colitis. If you had exposure to a person with C diff, either inpatient or in the community, your chances to develop same will increase significantly. Hand washing remains key in preventing transmission.
