Hi! molar extracted. nearly 6 days ago. toothgauze was in for over 4 hrs. since thenwhite substance grown in socket but i rinsed now and white gone. it's a small hole now but not gaping. no pain but worrried about dry socket. advice appreciated ?

Extraction socket: It sounds as if you are healing normally. If unsure, return to the GeneralDentist or Oral Surgeon that removed the tooth. First, that's the practitioner that knows your situation best. Second, post-operative care is included in the fee that you paid for treatment. Also, important that you discuss options with your Dentist for replacing the extracted tooth, and the consequences of not replacing it.

Dry Socket: After six days with no pain, swelling or foul odor, you appear to be healing just fine.
