Dry socket treatment: Sounds like you may have a dry socket! call your dr and have them see you to place a dry socket dressing that will help dramatically! it will resolve itself if it is not infected, if you want to ride it out!

A dry socket: Is generally "significant" pain and not "little pain". Could be just the normal post op healing but probably best to see the treating doctor for an evaluation. Hope this helps.

see comments below: A little pain is not uncommon - try rinsing with warm water and baking soda ( about a teaspoon mixed thoroughly in the glass of water ) for about 30 seconds twice a day - if that does not help and your symptoms do not subside contact your dentist the color is not necessarily something to be concerned about at this point.
