Some thoughts...: Doctors think about pinworms whenever a patient has an itchy butt. Patients get pinworms when they swallow some pinworm eggs (accidentally), such as when a person puts his fingers or hands in his mouth after getting an egg or two (or more) on his fingers or under his nails. Vermox is one medication for pinworms. There are of course other causes of itchy butt or itchy anus. Doctor can examine.
