Proctologist: In my experience a proctologist is best qualified to evaluate and treat most anorectal disorders. Your problem may be a perianal dermatitis or lichen sclerosis and atrophicus, for example. Occasionally the problem is simply being overaggressive in cleaning up after a bm as toilet paper can be very abrasive. It's better to avoid harsh rubbling and instead use a cream like balneol after wiping twice.

Pruritis ani: An itchy anus is a vexing problem. Certainly fecal leakage and local irritation can play a large role so try making sure the area is dry and clean and keeping tissue/toilet paper up the anus may help a bit here. Also avoid caffeine which can also contribute to anal itching. Importantly you may need to rule out a parasite and have stool sent to exclude this Hemmorhoids can also cause anal itching.
