Mildly elevated : Both platelets and WBC are mildly elevated as seen in infectious and non infectious inflammatory states.

Agree with Dr. P: One additional issue is the association between iron deficiency and high platelet count. You should talk to the doctor who ordered the test as s/he knows more about your health.
