Tongue: Most likely is canker sores which are round or oval spots with whitish/yellow center & red borders. Unlike cold sores, these are not contagious. The cause is unknown but they tend to run in families. Some develop them when they are stressed or tired, having menstrual cycle, injury from biting tongue, braces, food allergies, strong acidic foods or drinks such as orange juice, lack of iron in diet.
