My 5w/o seems to have a dry mouth i.e. not producing saliva. his mouth is sticky and it seems to be bothering him. also i noticed he is spitting up and swallowing. how can i help with the dry mouth and is the swallowing detrimental?

Consult his doctor: Please consult his doctor for specific diagnosis and treatment.He should be examined for your question to be better answered.I am also not sure if you are asking if it is harmful for him to swallow what he is spitting up?That is not detrimental,but it would be important to find out why he is spitting up if it is frequent.You can offer him water for the dry mouth until you can have him checked.
