Our 11 month old baby has a viral infection and has a fever of 38.6 degrees celcius. he has a infected looking sore on his leg and he doesn't want to eat. should we take him to hospital or wait through the night?

Infection: The infected skin lesion should be treated with an antibiotic. Please see your pediatrician right away. Apply local antibiotic ointment three times daily and keep the skin clean, if you can not access the physician. Skin infection may progress rapidly and should be evaluated soon.
