Can see neurologist: Normal, healthy people don't have brain swelling "many times." That means a college-aged person with such a past already has seen a neurologist. She can get a new neurologist if the past doctor is not available, or if she wants to get a fresh perspective on her life's problems. A psychiatrist may also be helpful, as the brain is complex. Also, do regular rechecks with one's primary care doctor.
