A member asked:

My boyfriend is in the army and on ultrasound they found a mass in the lining of his bladder. he has however just had a cystoscopy (flexible) and they said they cant see anything. can all tumours be detected via a cystoscopy ?

Bladder mass: Cystoscopy by an experienced urologist is very unlikely to miss a bladder tumor or mass. Ultrasound sometimes is imprecise, and it's much more likely the ultrasound interpretation was mistaken. But he should discuss it with his doctors.
