A member asked:

Is surgical intervention the most common method of treating repetitive motion injuries? (rmis)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hopefully not: We never want to cut a person unless absolutely necessary. Almost everyone gets repetitive motion injuries, from habits, sports activities, work (voluntary or forced), or walking or running (recreational or forced). It's part of our human existence. The goal is to stop before injuries happen, and to change motions, but our society often works against that. Anti-inflammatory therapy is helpful too.
