Get seen ASAP!: You do not say how long you have had the pain! If the pain is new and you do not know anything that may have caused it, get checked. Back pain can be due to kidney stones, a kidney infection, the first stage of shingles, among other causes. So get checked at a clinic, urgent care center, or ER to find out if you have something that needs urgent treatment. You don't want to get worse!
