Pleurisy?: If this pain is in his chest this may well be pleurisy. This is a pain that is caused by viral or infectious inflammation and worsens with movement , deep breath or cough. See the doctor to make sure it is not serious such as pneumonia.Note that this can be treated with such things as nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs until he can see the doctor. Best wishes.
