Persistent painful muscle spasm in back (left side) for 10 days and now the right side is also bit sore. i am on nexium 40 mg twice a day for 17 days. could these muscle spasms be a side effect of taking nexium?

Nexium can lower magnesium levels which can cause muscle spasms. There are many other reasons for muscle spasms that should be considered.
