Definitely : Although it is not considered a first-line agent for neuropathic pain, it can be used in combination with other anticonvulsants in the management of both paroxysmal and continuous neuropathic pains. Side effects are the same as those for other benzodiazepines: drowsiness, fatigue, ataxia, cognitive impairment, amnesia, and occasional depression.

I've been taking .5mg of clonazepam for over 15 years and it severely impacts my memory, and cognitive thinking. Are there any "cleaner" alternatives?
Are there any permanent cognitive deficits/brain damage associated with being prescribed Clonazepam for less than a year? And, if not, should I be just as functional cognitively and memory-wise as I was before (i.e. thered be no lasting effects)?
