A member asked:

Hi, i've been having left ovarian pain (stabbing) for the last 3 days my blood pressure was 107/65mmhg. my menstruation started 2days early and is heavy and i'm still having pain in my left ovarian area. might it be a cyst?

Yes it could be,: Ovarian cysts may be fluid or blood filled, also endometriosis can be involved with the ovary. An ultrasound and possible blood testing with your doctor would be a good step.

Ovary: Theses pains may not necessarily emanate from your ovary but could be from other pelvic structures such as can occur with endometriosis, pelvic congestion, uterus spasm,, tube, etc. However if pains worsen or discomfort becomes steady or if there's lower abdominal tenderness, consult your gynecologist for evaluation and advice.
