my 21month old has fever,couth, runny nose, crying, irritablitlity and just fussy. does not want to eat or drink.

Common: Most of these at this are self resolving viral illnesses. If the kid takes enough (ice chips, chilled applesauce, etc.) to pee every 6 hrs or better it can be watched at home.If not or the kids look spooks you have it evaluated.
