Miserable URIs: Most upper respiratory infections (uris) are due to viruses so antibiotics don't help. The associated fever usually is gone by 3 days so if not would then seek medical care. Saline nasal spray may help congestion. Encourage fluids. Uris can make kids miserable, but if lethargic throughout the day seek immediate medical care.
