A member asked:

The back of my tongue is sort of brown, sort of speckled, and it doesnt hurt. i dont know if this is result of me being sick, which i currently am, (runny nose, cough, throwing up, fatigue) or if this is the result of something else?

Brown Tongue: The papillae on your tongue may have trapped pigments from food or bacteria. Not uncommon, and should pass. Should it continue after you recover from your illness, follow up with your physician.
