Yes: Your description sounds like an infection. Barky coughs are generally part of a croup type illness which involve the vocal cords and just below that area. Other infections can cause similar symptoms. As this is part of the airway, breathing problems can happen. The white tongue may be a yeast infection or thrush. Treat her fever and make sure she is taking fluids and have her assessed.
