Benign: Pathologists use the term micro glandular hyperplasia to describe a benign change actually of the endocervix in response to Progesterone effects (birth control or depo). Many times during endometrial biopsy or curettage evaluation, fragments of endocervix are also present within the specimen for pathology evaluation.
