i have a small pimple(?) on my buttocks near where it goes into the crack. and it’s painful to touch and move, i think it might just be a pimple or an ingrown hair. any tips?

Basics: Warm heat as a compress or heating pad may bring a small abscess to a point where it can drain/heal. If it persists and or worsens over time it may need to be opened/drained in the office. Rarely they are a peri-rectal abscess from a fistula inside & must be surgically explored/removed.
