I have decay in my lower left wisdom tooth. i have been told i can get a filling but that it will be a deep filling. i am nervous. will this be difficult and have any after effects?

Filling: A filling is a micro-surgical procedure to remove infected tooth material and replace it with a restorative material. The larger the cavity, the more extensive the restorative procedure, the greater the difficulty. Your Dentist is the best source of information as to whether you will need filling, root canal treatment, or extraction.

Tooth Decay: The procedure shouldn't be difficult, but if it is that deep, the tooth may not be worth restoring with extensive procedures.
