My 5 year old son woke up this morning with a little bigger than pea size swelling near the inside of the bend of the elbow. it's hurts. should i take him to the doctor or just see if it's goes away?

What else ?: This is likely a lymph node that is doing its job by sorting out serum debris from the forearm. This could be from a bug bite or rash among other things. If it simply hurts when pushed on it is just active. If the kid is otherwise well you can watch it. If the kid is acting sick or this spooks you have him seen to sort out the issue.
