I am on my period and have pain on the left side of my uterus only which comes and goes, can i get an ultrasound done during my period? will it be accurate to look for the cause? same happened in my last cycle.

An ultrasound may: show what is going on. However, small painful lesions, such as endometriosis may not show on ultrasound. This could require a surgical scope looking at the uterus and ovaries to be sure. Discuss with your doctor as a trial of medical treatment is warranted as well.
