Lidocaine: It does have cardiac effects but it is dose based. For nasal scope they wont need too much of it so you should be fine. If your overly concerned inquire about chloroprocaine.

Hi, I'm a 29 year old guy, apparently healthy. In the last 6 months I have undergone 3 ECGs, 1 24h cardiac Holter, 2 echocardiographies and 1 stress ECG. From all these tests, there was no evidence of cardiac channelopathies (long QT, brugada etc.?
ENT said scope in office for nose/throat needs lidocaine/decongestant. Scared decongestant will bother my irregular heartbeat, can perform without?
Right side of face has been numb for a few days (specifically upper lip, nose, under eye.) No injury or other symptoms such as fever, headache, etc. Feels similar to lidocaine wearing off after going to the dentist? Face looks normal physically?
