I'm just wondering, if you have a foot injury and can't run for about two weeks do you get slower?

Perhaps initially,: But you will recover. Muscle atrophies at a rate of 3% per day with disuse. I wouldn't worry too much about bouncing back after two weeks of not running.

Not necessarily: A 2 week hiatus from running will not result in a significant dropoff in speed or function unless the injury itself is has not completely resolved.
