Some basics: Generalized allergic reactions are common to food reactions,some infections or when the body surface is exposed generally (soaps/shampoos/scents/etc.). There are skin & blood tests that can identify some of the triggers but these are not always accurate. A food diary/personal detective work may sort it out. Hydrxazine (atarax)may help more with the itching.
