Childhood infection?: Most likely will turn out to be one of the usual childhood illnesses with rash. Turning into sores suggests chickenpox, but extremely rare for both adults to have chickenpox. If neither of the docs was your child's pediatrician, see him or her; or ask for referral to an infectious diseases specialist or dermatologist. Do it ASAP; maybe not dangerous, but sooner the better for accurate diagnosis.

It would help...: ...to know what diagnoses the other docs gave you. Some conditions just have to "run their course." For example, chicken pox can start as tiny blister-like bumps which then become ulcers or sores. With proper cleansing and voiding scratching or rubbing, most of them heal w/out scars. Herpes can act the same way but, except in infants, usually are localized to 1 area. Need more info!
