Had perianal abscess drained in colorectal surgeons office on monday. today, wednesday, abscess still feels large and uncomfortable/painful. also very red. is this normal? is it normal for it to still feel like and look like its large?

May be ok: If a drain is in place hopefully adequate drainage of pus will occur. If, however, swelling, pain, fever,chills or redness increases, I feel you should inform the surgeon to determine whether you should be seen the next day.
