Yes!: The point of draing and packing space and then removing the packing and repacking is to prevent an &&andinfection from setting in there. It is not the cleanest part of your body and it will take a while to fully heal. The incision and drainage (I & D) is more important to your cure than whatever antibiotics that you may be taking.
