A member asked:

My left index and thumb finger tip is painfull. the pain goes down to my wrist? what could this be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctors can evaluate: Such symptoms may be due to a problem in the arm itself and/or in the nerves coming out of the spine and going to the arm. A primary care doctor, or a physical medicine doctor (physiatrist, PM&R doctor), can evaluate. A neurologist may be consulted, if needed. They can check the nerves, such as the nerves that run on the underside of the wrist (carpal tunnel area).
