A member asked:

Does amount of compression relate to the severity of myelopathy? for example if there are only mild disc protrusions reducing cervical spine to 10mm - 13mm with abutment of cord in flexion only, could this cause significant myelopathy from neck down?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Myelopathy : Myelopathy is dependent on the amount of compression. If the compression in intermittent then there is less, if the compression includes a great deal of pressure on the cord and constant then it is more.
