A member asked:

My cervical spine measures between 11mm and 13mm maximum. radiologists repeatedly report generous canal dimensions. i thought under 13mm was stenosis. i have myelopathy symptoms :-( ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Spinal stenosis: Diameters of less than 10 mms in the cervical spine are considered stenotic, whereas diameters in the upper portion of 10 to 13 are considered to be relatively stenotic. A neurologist or neurosurgeon are best qualified to determine whether you have myelopathy and whether these findings correlate with stenosis in the neck.
