husband ate extremely hot food which got stuck in throat, after drinking last nite. all day has complained about, sore/swelling/tight throat, voice changed. fever starting. not severe pain just annoying. should he seek er or give time to heal?

Evaluation : His fever may indicate an infection,especially if higher than 101. The irritation will most likely resolve with time, cool liquids and voice rest. He can eat yogurt and bland soft food until well. If the fever is high or persistent,please see your physician.
