I have an aching pain on both flanks which moved to the centre of my abdomen. the pain is sharp. i had an ultrasound and they found a 1cm and 1.4 cm simple cyst on my kidney. the pain has been there for 3 weeks now with no relief. what could be wrong?

Flank pain : Constipated? would do CT of the abdomen and pelvis , and look for appendicitis - you can have chronic appendicitis, as well as colon, if female check a pregnancy test before the CT but look for ovarian /uterine pathology as it may not be well seen on ultrasound. Also check for pancreas, liver ,gallbladder ( which can be seen well on ultrasound if they looked at it. f/u /w/ MD
