A member asked:

At the website who for hiv it is written in some individuals, the test for the presence of these antigens may not be positive until 6 months or longer what does it mean by longer? 6 months not enough for antigen, but enough for antibodys?

HIV: 95% of people will turn positive after exposure with 4th generation HIV testing. You are correct the website does say more than 6 months. I have checked CDC and other sites. They say the same, but I am unable to collect a specific paper or number of cases. Hopefully one of the infectious disease experts can help.
